Her faith-centered approach to coaching reminds us all that we are graced for our journey and capable of walking boldly in our God-given calling.

Let’s dive into this powerful conversation with Antionette Perry.

What inspired you to become a certified life coach, and how has your journey evolved over time?

For as long as I can remember, I have been a caretaker—walking alongside others as they navigated life's challenges, even while facing my own. There has always been a pull on my life to help others become whole. However, there were seasons when I knew there was more for me to do, yet I couldn't quite see how to accomplish the vision God placed in my heart.

Along the way, I often found myself surrounded by voices that discouraged me from dreaming. When I expressed my desire to go to college, I was told that a single mother couldn't do it—but deep down, I knew that God had placed greater inside of me. Looking back, I realize that everything I've walked through was preparing me for this calling. I became a Life Coach because I wanted to be for others what I needed—someone to not only believe in them but to walk with them as they become who God created them to be. For years, I naturally operated as a coach—encouraging, guiding, and praying with others without the official title. During the COVID shutdown, God opened the door for me to pursue certification through Light University, where I became a Certified Life Coach. My heart's desire is to see people break free from limiting beliefs, heal from life's pressures, and walk boldly in their God-given calling—not just surviving, but living inspired.

You wear many hats—author, educator, administrator, and assistant pastor. How do these roles influence your approach to coaching?

Each role that I carry—author, educator, administrator, and assistant pastor—has been a vital part of shaping my approach to coaching. I don't see them as separate assignments but rather as interconnected pieces of who I am called to be. Each hat represents a part of my journey, and together they allow me to serve others from a place of experience, wisdom, and compassion.

As an Educator and Administrator, I've learned the importance of structure, strategy, and preparation—understanding that transformation requires not only inspiration but also practical steps and systems. Coaching isn't just about motivating people; it's about helping them map out the journey to their next season. As an Assistant Pastor, my heart is to care for the whole person—spirit, soul, and body. I approach every coaching session with a deep sensitivity to where someone is emotionally and spiritually, knowing that true transformation starts from the inside out. As an Author, I've learned the power of sharing my story—knowing that vulnerability creates space for others to believe that their journey is worth walking through.

In every role, I've had the privilege of walking with people through their process—whether in the classroom, the church, or the community. What ties them all together is the belief that every person has something valuable inside of them, and sometimes they just need someone to walk alongside them until they see it for themselves. Coaching is not just what I do—it's who I am. It is the culmination of every assignment God has entrusted me with, and I am honored to help others become who they were always destined to be.

Your mission is to encourage people to live an inspired life. What does that look like in practice for your clients?

Living an Inspired Life is about more than simply existing—it’s about embracing the fullness of who God created you to be and living with purpose, intention, and boldness. A big part of living an inspired life is discovering and aligning with God-given purpose, and for that, we take intentional steps to gain clarity and direction.

This is where actionable strategies come into play. I help my clients develop a clear vision for their future and then break it down into manageable goals that are both achievable and rooted in their faith. We work on organizing their calendar to create balance and structure, ensuring they’re prioritizing what truly matters in this season of their life. Whether it's blocking off time for self-care, creating space for prayer and reflection, or focusing on building their business or ministry, they learn how to be intentional with their time, energy, and resources.

We also dive deep into setting specific, measurable goals that align with their bigger vision. Together, we create actionable steps for each goal, making sure they feel empowered and equipped to take consistent action, no matter how small, toward their dreams. I help them understand that progress doesn’t always look like perfection—it’s about making intentional steps every day and trusting God to guide them through the process.

I know that you have released several journals, but can you tell us about your very first book, Inspired to Live: A 30-Day Journey? What can readers expect to gain from it?

Inspired to Live: A 30-Day Journey is a deeply personal journal filled with 15 scriptures and 15 quotes that carried me through moments when I felt like giving up. These are the words I held onto when I had no one to encourage me—when God Himself had to teach me how to encourage myself. As part of this journey, I also led a 30-day challenge where I walked alongside women, helping them seek God for their true purpose and vision. Each day, we read the scripture or quote, prayed, and asked God what it meant for us individually. I intentionally did not include actionable steps in the journal because too often, we try to follow what others have done instead of seeking God directly for His unique plan for our lives. This journal is not about following a formula—it’s about turning our hearts toward God, allowing Him to lead us, and discovering the mission He has placed within us.

How do you help people prioritize their vision and well-being in today’s fast-paced world?

I help people prioritize their vision and well-being by guiding them to slow down, seek clarity, and create intentional rhythms that align with their purpose. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to get caught up in busyness and neglect what truly matters. I encourage individuals to set clear priorities by seeking God’s direction first, establishing healthy boundaries, and making space for what fuels their spirit. Through faith-centered coaching, workshops, and practical strategies, I help them shift from merely surviving to living with purpose, peace, and fulfillment. It’s about aligning daily choices with their God-given vision while ensuring they nurture their emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being.

What are some of the most common obstacles people face when trying to live an inspired life, and how do you help them overcome them?

Some of the most common obstacles people face when trying to live an inspired life include fear, self-doubt, lack of clarity, and the pressure to meet external expectations. Many struggle with feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about their purpose. Others battle past failures, limiting beliefs, or the constant demands of life that pull them away from what truly matters.  I help them overcome these obstacles by first guiding them to shift their mindset and reconnect with God’s vision for their lives. Through faith-based coaching, I encourage them to release fear and self-doubt by standing on God’s promises and building confidence in who He has called them to be. I also help them identify distractions, set clear priorities, and develop intentional habits that align with their purpose. I remind my clients that saying no or not at this time is not a curse word. They are not obligated to do all the things, especially if it does not align with their vision or takes too much of their time and focus. It is okay to say, I am not available at this time. Yes, we are called to serve, evangelize, and be vessels for God, but we must also recognize when we are allowing other things or people to monopolize our time, leaving us unproductive and drained. By creating space for reflection, prayer, and intentional decision-making, I empower them to move beyond limitations and embrace a life of faith, courage, and fulfillment.

Your profile highlights daily reminders. What is one message you believe everyone needs to hear regularly?

One message I believe everyone needs to hear regularly is: "You are graced for your journey." No matter what challenges arise, God has already equipped you with the strength, wisdom, and resilience to navigate them. You don’t have to strive in your own power—trust that He is guiding your steps, opening the right doors, and preparing you for what’s next. Stay faithful, stay focused, and remember that your purpose is bigger than your obstacles. Keep moving forward with confidence, knowing that you are exactly where you need to be.

Faith seems to play a big role in your work. How does spirituality influence your coaching and guidance?

Faith is the foundation of everything I do. My coaching and guidance are rooted in the belief that true transformation begins with God. Spirituality influences my work by ensuring that every strategy, encouragement, and direction I provide aligns with biblical principles and God’s purpose for each individual. I help my clients seek divine clarity rather than relying solely on human logic, guiding them to trust God’s timing, embrace their unique calling, and move forward with faith and confidence. I also emphasize the importance of prayer, discernment, and spiritual discipline, helping them develop a deeper relationship with God so they can hear His voice and walk boldly in their purpose. Ultimately, my goal is not just to help people achieve success but to live a life that is fulfilling, faith-driven, and aligned with God’s will.

What advice would you give to someone feeling stuck and unmotivated in their personal or professional life?

If you’re feeling stuck and unmotivated in your personal or professional life, my advice is to pause, pray, and realign. Feeling stuck is often a sign that something needs to shift—whether it’s your mindset, environment, or approach. Start by seeking God for clarity and direction, asking Him to reveal what’s holding you back and what He’s calling you toward. Next, identify the root of your stagnation. Is it fear? Doubt? Burnout? Comparison? Once you pinpoint the cause, take small, intentional steps to regain momentum. Remember, progress isn’t always about big leaps—it’s about consistent, faith-filled movement forward. I also encourage people to embrace the power of no and set boundaries that protect their time, energy, and focus. You don’t have to do everything or please everyone. If it doesn’t align with your vision and purpose, it’s okay to step back. Most importantly, remind yourself that your purpose is still valid, even in seasons of uncertainty. Stay committed, trust the process, and know that God is always working behind the scenes to lead you exactly where you need to be. Keep moving forward—one inspired step at a time.
